Recognize the Importance of Being Uncomfortable for Being Successful
Updated: Apr 13

It is important to be uncomfortable because it makes you grow.
To learn, one must be willing to stretch their comfort zone and venture into new territory. The more a person does this, the easier it becomes.
It may seem difficult at first, but with time and practice, you can develop a skill for being comfortable in all situations.
This post will give you some tips on how to do so while also discussing why it's important for yourself and the world.
Becoming Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable
Becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable is when you grow the most.
Being comfortable means overcoming your fears and doing things that scare you in order to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
This is why it's so important when embarking on your journey toward success. Doing what scares you will stretch you and help you grow more than expecting life to just happen for you while doing things that make you comfortable without taking any risks.
Some things come naturally, others don't. When I first started writing self-help books, I was scared and lost. I simply didn't know where to start from. Nonetheless, I decided I wanted to venture away from my comfort zone and try this new career. I saw it as a way to apply what I've learned after reading tons of self-help books myself.
It was easy to be comfortable in my skin, but I forced myself to do things like this to challenge myself and to broaden my comfort zone.
This is because when one becomes comfortable with their discomfort, they start living life more wholly and meaningfully. They begin to develop a never-ending fire within them that fuels them toward success and forever achievement.
Whenever I force myself out of my comfort zone, I always feel so much better about the situation afterward. It's like I release endorphins and become stronger because of it.
When we release endorphins, we feel happier and more content. Whenever you push yourself out of your comfort zone, you develop what's called the Winner's High. You start to really see that life isn't about being comfortable all the time, but instead, it's about experiencing new things.
Whenever I'm not doing something I enjoy, it's because I'm taking a risk - getting out of my comfort zone to test myself and challenge myself. I feel alive when I do this because it takes me away from the mundane nature of my day-to-day life.
This is why it's important not only for yourself but also for the world that you become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
You will not only feel happier and more content, but you'll experience a heightened sense of awareness and appreciation for life and all it has to offer. You break out of the system of mediocrity that society tries to teach us.
You stop being okay with just being okay or settling for less than what you want.
This is the formula for living an extraordinary life.
You might get uncomfortable at first, but you continually get more comfortable with being uncomfortable until this becomes your new comfort zone. This is when you have fully developed the Winner's High and now feel so blessed to be able to experience all of these amazing things.
The Winner's High
The Winner's High is a state of mind that anyone can achieve. It takes courage and perseverance to get there, but the payoff is worth it! Once you're able to break out of your comfort zone with confidence and ease, fear will no longer have power over you. You'll feel unstoppable because anything seems possible at this point in time. The more uncomfortable you are feeling now, the closer you are to achieving all of your goals for yourself and others around the world!
This applies not only to your professional life but also to your personal and spiritual journeys. You continue to tap into the vast amount of knowledge available to become even more enlightened about yourself, others, and God (if you believe in such a thing).
You start expressing all of this wisdom by helping other people break out of their comfort zones, too. You inspire them to keep chasing their dreams even when they feel like giving up. You show others that it's okay to make mistakes because this is how you grow stronger and learn from your past experiences.
You inspire the world with your powerful emotion of self-love. This is what makes you unstoppable!
How to Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable?
Here is my 14-tip guide, things that I've discovered myself after years of practice:
Push yourself out of your comfort zone as often as possible so that you feel alive and happy!
Don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself
Surround yourself with people who believe in you, who love and accept you unconditionally, and who aren't afraid to speak up for themselves or what they believe in.
Be open-minded to trying new things (you never know what you might like)
Want what you say you want and never settle for less than that - remind yourself that the only thing holding you back is fear!
Stop putting your life on hold; take action now instead of waiting for some magical moment to happen.
Quit basing your value on other people's opinions of you - this will only bring you more of what you don't want!
Realize that the more uncomfortable you are, the closer you are to achieving your goals!
Don't be afraid of failure because there is no such thing as failure, only learning experiences.
Don't be afraid of taking risks because if you're always playing it safe, then you will never truly experience life itself!
Take on challenges that seem impossible to others but are possible for you
Believe in yourself more than anyone else ever could or would!
Don't be afraid to lose face in order to gain your power back!
Believe that everything you do is done with the highest good of all involved in mind.
